Week 5 poster development

Image
Testing different display font on the third poster.

Brief ideas about typeface

Sans Serif Univers, Helvetica, Futura...  They have sound readability. Script I find it difficult to use as they have a relatively lower readability. It will probably be used as in the headline or on the background. Also, it is fit when the content is about youth, artists or activity (anything positive). Serif I find it hard to use traditional serif typeface actually. It can be used it as in the reference of a booklet or as in the body text in the most of the times. Slab is better as it has a higher readibility. Inline&Stencil It is a kind of text that have a decent readability but still remain interesting. It is useful as on the headline. Pixel font Depending on the case. Black letter According to the case.

week 5 3 poster presentation feedback

Image
The posters below are my latest compositions on week 5 Tuesday.   The color of those posters are actually different to what i saw on the screen. It might still works but it somehow blur the image to some degree. Critiques 1. The two headlines on the first posters need to be corrected. They should either get closer or be a bit far away from each others. 2.The baselines on the upper top of the second poster need to be corrected. 3. The display text on the third poster should could be better (It can have the kind of halftone effect the the second poster has). 4. The website text on the first poster is better to place at the bottom of the first column on the top. 5. Above all, keep developing the third poster as it will be the cover of the next assignment. 6. The headline on the third poster can be colorized (with the pink). (I adjusted a bit after the presentation)

This one i have done it with bitmap mode. PS: You do not need to adjust the color of the picture when applying the halftone effect. Image >mode >bitmap > output:1200/use: half tone screem > Frequence 53/ Shape:line Development after class: Image>mode>bitmap> output 1200/use:half tone > Frequence 44/ Shape round Image> mode> CMYK color > (creat new fill or adjustment layer) gradient map> doubt-click the gradient bar> doubt-click the color picker to adjust inverse color version: Different color test:

Week 2 poster1 with color testing

The poster belows has  different layout.  The tutor suggested that the larger-size text does not associate with the small text well. It kind of squeeze the small text and form a a kind of sharp which doesn't fit. I think i should either fix it or change the layout completely.  The poster above is the one i adjust after the tutor critised on the class I create a different layout on the page. (Poster 3) I also change the colors and the text seeks to create a different hierachy on the page.  The posters bellow are samples using different color with the same text on poster3 above. We were suggested to use either dark color on the text with a light background or a dark background with bright text. From where i stand, Some poster below with bright colors does not suit the theme(archietecture) of the poster.
